Recent ActivityInstructor: Mr. Patrick Young
The McDowell High School Band Program is in its 13th year under the direction of Mr. Patrick Young. He is a 1990 graduate of McDowell High. He attended Brevard College and UNC-Greensboro, graduating in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in Instrumental Music Education. He is married to Jill Thompson Young, who is the music specialist at Old Fort Elementary. Their son, Daniel Vance Young is 2 and loves to visit during Daddy's rehearsals.

COOKIE DOUGH ARRIVES NOV 5Cookie Dough will be delivered during the school day on Thursday, November 5. It was supposed to be here Tuesday, Nov 3, but there was a mixup at the shipping center. Students will be bringing the dough home. It will need to be kept cool/frozen as soon as possible. If you are responsible for a big order, please make sure that you have made plans to pick up your order before 3:30.
